The ideal candidate will have strong experience in unconventional oil and gas facilities design, excellent problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work collaboratively with operations, construction, and engineering teams. This position includes regular field visits and requires a hands-on approach to project development, troubleshooting, and operational support.
Responsibilities
  • Support facility operations and provide engineering guidance for assigned plant or field areas.
  • Develop and execute small to mid-sized facility improvement and optimization projects.
  • Conduct field visits, site assessments, and data collection activities to support engineering and operational needs.
  • Manage Management of Change (MOC) processes and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
  • Coordinate project deliverables and support construction handoff activities.
  • Assist with repairs, alterations, and modifications to pressure equipment, piping systems, rotating equipment, tanks, and associated infrastructure.
  • Support shutdown planning and execution activities.
  • Conduct routine facility surveillance and monitor key operational performance indicators.
  • Work closely with operations, construction, and engineering teams to identify and resolve facility-related issues.
  • Review engineering work to ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal stakeholders regarding project status, risks, and operational concerns.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, reliability, safety, and emissions reduction.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering discipline preferred; equivalent industry experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of oil and gas industry experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of unconventional facilities design experience.
  • Experience with tank batteries, production facilities, vessel systems, and related infrastructure preferred.
  • Strong understanding of engineering standards, specifications, safety requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Experience supporting project development, execution, and construction coordination.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing Management of Change (MOC) processes.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, tight deadlines, and fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel regularly for field visits and operational support.
  • Experience supporting operational efficiency, emissions reduction, or sustainability initiatives is a plus.
