Job Summary:
INNIO Group is a global distributed energy solutions provider that delivers reliable and efficient power systems. They are seeking a Product Manager – Digital Controls to drive product development for the Waukesha engines business unit, focusing on product requirement creation, market assessment, and collaboration with engineering and sales teams.
Responsibilities:
• Establish the vision and strategic plan for engine control systems and the myPlant product line.
• Deliver a multigenerational product plan for engine control systems and myPlant by launching differentiated products that achieve or exceed market share objectives.
• Create new product introduction (NPI) requirements to guide engineering execution for engine control systems and myPlant product line, resulting in market differentiated product launches.
• Execute effective product launches that unlock the growth potential of the Waukesha Gas Engine platforms.
• Develop marketing strategies and new product offerings that define the direction of engine control systems and the myPlant platform in target markets.
• Maintain a long‑term outlook and execution roadmap supporting business development, growth, and long‑term sustainability.
• Lead product lifecycle and product line management reviews, providing recommendations supporting profitability, R&D, and capital investment decisions.
• Provide direct support to sales, service, and end customers leveraging engine control systems and myPlant product family.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering
• At least 5 years in marketing, product management, or new business development.
• Experience with equipment monitoring, engine control systems, and associated software platforms.
• Experience expanding into new markets/customer segments and managing early stage customer engagement to build sales pipelines.
• Experience developing product business cases to justify investment.
• Experience developing differentiated value proposition materials to support sales and channel partner effectiveness, ideally within a SaaS business model.
• Experience in the energy, oil, or gas industry preferred.
• Experience conducting competitive analysis and price benchmarking to reinforce product value propositions and inform sales focus.
Preferred:
• An advanced degree in Business, Marketing or Management.
• Demonstrated marketing expertise, including launching new products in oil & gas and/or energy markets.
• A background in digital monitoring, reciprocating engines, and power generation.
• Strong ability to collaborate across functional groups and large organizations.
• Ability to attract, mentor, and develop high‑performing teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into structured, executable messaging for non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new business areas and adapt to evolving market conditions.
