Job description

Title: Information Systems Security Specialist (contingent 034)
Location: APG, MD
TS/SCI required
Requirements:
  • Provide security and protection program support, by providing a Security Specialist (s) for CPE IEW&S HQS.
  • Support any of the following security disciplines: Information Security (INFOSEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), Foreign Disclosure, Industrial Security, Insider Threat, Personnel Security (PERSEC), Antiterrorism (AT), Force Protection Personnel Recovery, Continuity of Operations Program (COOP), Emergency Management, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Physical Security, Key Control, Special Security, Intelligence Oversight, Telecommunications Electronics Material Protected from Emanating Spurious Transmissions (TEMPEST), Communication Security (COMSEC), and Special Access Program (SAP) security.
  • Coordinate visitor security and control, OPSEC, COMSEC, security education, emergency plans, classification management, public release of information, violation and compromise of security and integrity of SIPRNet usage, and Force Health Protection (regarding deployments).
  • Perform administrative duties as an advisor on issues with security, training, travel, and protection of property.
  • Assist office personnel as needed with human resource issues such as creating a list of personnel with SCI access for a local urinalysis screening and mandatory annual training.
  • Validate security compliance with regulation and policy.
  • Formulate policy and procedures as needed for program administration.
  • Prepare and administer briefings on security programs and administrative services to personnel and support security and facility inspections.
  • Maintain personnel security files and databases.
  • Process security clearances, access requests, and various security clearance actions.
  • Support security disciplines associated with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) related work.
  • Execute and monitor the Enterprise Protection Risk Management Program
  • Recommend modification(s) to existing Stand-Alone facilities to reduce vulnerability to terrorist attack.
  • Participate in the Garrison level exercises, to include the planning of Garrison AT exercises, conducting after action reviews to determine effectiveness of exercises, identifying organizational, planning, or training deficiencies, and recommending solutions to issues
  • Support Special Security by validating information and assisting employees with JWICS requests, SCI Indoctrination, SCI courier orders, JWICS PKI trusted agent, etc.
  • Assist with SCIF and T-SCIF accreditation/reaccreditations.
  • Conduct assessments with Program offices.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years related worked experience is required. Must successfully complete necessary governmental/corporate security training.
  • Substitutions: Seven years of relevant experience is required if candidate does not possess a Bachelor's degree.
