• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments for patients and their families to identify emotional, social, and environmental challenges related to their health conditions.
• Develop, implement, and adjust treatment plans that incorporate appropriate social work interventions, collaborating closely with healthcare providers and the patient’s family.
• Facilitate discharge planning by coordinating with physicians, insurance providers, and other specialists to ensure patients transition smoothly from clinical settings.
• Offer education and counseling to help patients and their families adapt to serious illnesses, navigating emotional responses and fostering resilience.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including crisis intervention and both individual and group therapies, to address a wide range of psychosocial needs.
• Provide resources and support to other health care professionals through educational sessions and collaborative care meetings.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to address urgent patient needs, ensuring around-the-clock care availability.
• Engage in community service initiatives to enhance support for cancer survivors and promote available health care resources.

In this role, you will primarily serve patients facing mental health challenges related to serious illnesses, such as cancer. You will assist diverse individuals, helping them explore emotional turmoil and navigate various transitions during their treatment journeys. Your contribution will be crucial in addressing the unique needs of patients who are not only dealing with their diagnoses but also the impact such illnesses impose on their families and community.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work (BSW) is required; candidates with a Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) and active LCSW licensure are preferred.
• Experience working in a healthcare or clinical environment, specifically with patient care, is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Exceptional communication and active listening abilities to effectively engage with patients and families.
• Solid understanding of ethical principles and standards within the social work profession.

• Previous experience in oncology social work or working with individuals facing chronic illnesses is highly desirable.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
