The Ace Hardware Titusville Garden Center Specialist works in partnership with the management team to ensure sales growth and profitable operations for the Garden Center.

  • Working outdoors (in covered and non-covered Garden Center) for up to 100% of shift.
  • Standing for extended periods of time, lifting, bending, kneeling and climbing a ladder.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Dependable transportation.
  • Ability to work productively with others.

Teamwork

  • Always projects a positive, enthusiastic view of Ace Hardware Titusville.
  • Available to work flexible schedule based on business needs and customer traffic patterns, to include nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Stays current with any and all Ace Garden Center training.

Merchandising

  • Assists with ordering plants and other Garden Center merchandise using sales history and experience with helping make purchasing decisions.
  • Helps maintain appropriate inventory control and builds stock in anticipation of peak seasons and reducing it during slow seasons.
  • Collaborates with team to maintain a product assortment balance of unique local plants & trees with more mainstream plants.
  • Assists with merchandising and creating attractive / compelling displays to achieve a “here’s what it can look like at home” presentation.
  • Helps with pricing and signing in Garden Center.
  • Participates with proper plant care to maintain the customer perception of high quality while minimizing shrinkage; including proper watering, wind / temperature mitigation and sun / shade management.
  • Keeps up-to-date on the latest garden / nursery merchandise.
  • Helps prepare appropriately for the start of each season, holidays and special events.
  • Executes processes for profitable exit strategy for aging product.

The Garden Center Specialist should perform whatever task necessary to ensure the Garaden Center's success.
