Job description

Job Description
  • Due to our continued growth, ACE Recycling & Disposal is seeking Rear Load Drivers to join our team serving the Salt Lake County area.
  • Rear Load Drivers are responsible for safely and efficiently collecting waste and recycling on assigned routes while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Safely operate a rear-load garbage truck and complete assigned collection routes in a timely manner.
  • Collect and transport waste and recyclable materials in accordance with company policies and all applicable regulations.
  • Follow daily route schedules while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, service, and efficiency.
  • Communicate and work closely with Dispatch and Supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Interact with customers and the public in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Start Time: 6:00 a.m.
  • Starting Pay: $24.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).

Experience and Skills
  • Must hold a current Class A or Class B CDL with airbrake endorsement.
  • Must have 6 months minimum of driving commercial vehicle experience.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to operate a mobile tablet to communicate with supervisor or Dispatch (sending messages, attaching photos, concerns on route interruptions)
  • The ability to push, pull, sit, stand, walk, and other physical requirements as necessary to complete daily duties and responsibilities.
  • Ace drivers are responsible for operating waste and recycle trucks in a safe manner. Our drivers must conduct all activities according to the delivery and collection schedule and all relevant company policies
  • Ability to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner; ability to communicate effectively; and the ability to read and write to maintain daily records.
