Job description

Job Title: Waste Management & Disposal Driver (CDL a Plus!)

Location: Somerset County, NJ

Job Type: Full-Time


About the Role

Are you a dependable driver who loves being on the move and keeping our communities clean? We are looking for a dedicated Waste Management & Disposal Driver to join our team. In this role, you wonโ€™t just be driving; youโ€™ll be the face of our local service, handling daily collection routes, helping with cleanouts, and ensuring our customers have working equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily Pickups: Safely operate disposal vehicles along designated residential and/or commercial routes to collect waste and recycling.
  • Cleanouts: Assist with scheduled property cleanouts, bulk waste removal, and proper disposal of large items.
  • Bin Maintenance & Delivery: Deliver new bins to customers, retrieve damaged ones, and perform on-site replacements or quick fixes as needed.
  • Safety & Inspections: Conduct daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. Report any mechanical issues immediately and maintain a clean truck cabin.
  • Customer Service: Represent the company professionally when interacting with residents, business owners, and dispatch.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Driver's License: Valid standard driver's license (or CDL B) with a clean driving record for 7 years (MVR check required).
  • Experience: Previous experience in commercial driving, route-based delivery, or waste management is highly preferred.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50โ€“75 lbs regularly, put up with repetitive bending/lifting, and work outside in various weather conditions.
  • Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and comfortable with early morning start times.


Bonus Points

  • CDL License: A valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driverโ€™s License (CDL) is a huge plus and will command a higher starting wage.
