ProLift Garage Doors is a nationwide garage door servicing, repair and installation company. We are establishing a new territory in Cumming, GA and looking to grow. Looking for someone ready to take on a new challenge and build something while sharing in the successes of the company.
ProLift Garage Doors seeks an experienced Garage Door Technician to perform installations, service, and repairs for the greater Alpharetta, GA area. If you have prior experience working as a garage repair technician (residential or commercial), please apply.
As a garage door technician at ProLift, you will travel in a company work truck to the customer's home to diagnose their garage door issues. You will then build and present a quote to repair their door during that appointment, or share a quote to replace their garage door as needed. Technicians must manage the truck and its inventory as well as their schedule and client communications.

Responsibilities
  • Repair various types of garage doors and openers
  • Products, buildings and applications differ case by case; the candidate must be able to choose best solutions for each application as it pertains to safety, functionality and performance.
  • The Repair Technician will also troubleshoot, repair and perform periodic maintenance on new and existing equipment
  • Garage door installs as needed

Requirements
  • Previous experience servicing/installing garage doors - knowledge of the principles, techniques, equipment and supplies used in the residential garage door service
  • Mechanical aptitude - knowledge and skilled in using various hand and power tools
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and general public
  • Clear communicator, charismatic, and comfortable in face-to-face client interactions
  • Team player; strong collaboration skills
  • Training experience, preferable
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to operate without direct supervision at all times.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, think independently, and problem-solve
  • Organized and methodical work ethic
  • Basic math and legible handwriting
  • Punctual and excellent attendance record

Experience
  • Residential Garage Door Installation/Repairs: Minimum 1 year (Required)
  • Commercial Garage Door Installation/Repairs experience (Preferred, but not required)

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record, must be insurable
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Availability to work 1 Saturday a month (on-call bonuses!)

Education

Physical Demands
Requires frequently: Standing, lifting of 50 lbs., Carrying 50 lbs., walking, pushing, stooping, climbing, bending, crouching, crawling, reaching above and below shoulder level; full use of hands, good finger dexterity, lifting from floor to waist and twisting of torso. Also includes working in cramped garages, on ladders, and with power tools and perform manual labor in outside environment, exposed to heat, sun, high humidity, rain and other adverse weather conditions.
