Job description

Company:
Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.
Job Area:
Operations Group, Operations Group > Product Management
General Summary:
As Qualcomm expands its AI platform capabilities across edge and hybrid compute environments, we are seeking a dynamic Product Management leader to own Gaming AI as a dedicated focus area within the Core AI Product Management organization. This role sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence, gaming platform strategy and go-to-market execution, translating market requirements and emerging technology trends into differentiated product direction and stronger business outcomes.
The Product Manager will play a strategic role in shaping the roadmap, positioning, and market success of Qualcomm's AI-powered gaming solutions - spanning on-device inference, cloud-to-edge transitions, agentic AI infrastructure, and gaming-specific AI workloads such as super resolution and content creation. The role will also support Qualcomm's growing gaming presence in China and selectively engage with government and defense-adjacent opportunities.
The ideal candidate brings a strong systems and software background, deep understanding of gaming platform architectures, and the ability to partner effectively with engineering, business development, and regional teams globally. Success in this role requires identifying emerging opportunities, influencing future product investments, and driving adoption of Qualcomm's AI capabilities across the gaming ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy: Define and execute AI product strategies for gaming, ensuring alignment with Qualcomm's platform vision and the needs of gaming customers across mobile, PC, console, and cloud segments

  • AI Asset Mapping & Positioning: Identify how Qualcomm's existing AI assets, models, and infrastructure can be applied to gaming use cases, including super resolution, content creation, and real-time inference

  • Agentic AI for Gaming: Evaluate and drive the application of Qualcomm's agentic AI infrastructure to gaming workflows and experiences, including identifying scalable, cross-domain opportunities

  • Cloud-to-Edge Architecture: Analyze end-to-end gaming system architectures, including load distribution strategies and workload transitions between cloud and edge environments

  • Roadmap Planning: Create and maintain product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of features, platform capabilities, and ecosystem integrations

  • Strategic Acquisitions & Partnerships: Identify capability gaps and support evaluation of strategic acquisitions or partnerships to strengthen Qualcomm's gaming AI portfolio

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to track trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape, including emerging players in agentic and ERP-integrated AI platforms

  • Customer & Partner Engagement: Engage with gaming customers, platform partners, and regional teams - including in China - to gather requirements and drive design wins

  • Go-to-Market Execution: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and engineering teams to support successful product launches, developer adoption, and ecosystem growth

  • Trustworthy AI: Maintain awareness of and contribute to responsible AI initiatives relevant to gaming and, where applicable, government-adjacent use cases

  • Marketing & Documentation: Oversee the creation of technical documentation, product briefs, and marketing materials targeted at gaming platform and developer audiences

Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:
  • Strong background in systems and/or software engineering with applied experience in gaming platforms or adjacent domains

  • Deep understanding of end-to-end gaming architectures, including cloud vs. edge workload distribution and hybrid compute models

  • Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and their application to gaming workloads (e.g. super resolution, generative content, real-time inference)

  • Understanding of agentic AI concepts and scalable AI infrastructure applicable across domains

  • Experience with SDK, API, or platform-level product management in a software or AI context

Communication
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to convey complex technical and strategic concepts to executive and non-technical stakeholders

  • Comfortable operating across cross-functional and cross-regional teams

Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with gaming platforms - console, PC, mobile, or cloud gaming environments (e.g. Sony, Xbox, or similar ecosystems)

  • Familiarity with AI for gaming use cases such as DLSS/FSR-style super resolution, AI-driven NPCs, or procedural content generation

  • Experience engaging with China gaming market customers or partners

  • Prior experience in a product management role at a semiconductor, platform, or AI company

  • Familiarity with competitive landscape in gaming AI, including cloud-native and edge-native platform providers

  • US Citizenship desired to support eligibility for potential government and defense-related engagements

  • Background in or exposure to DoD, government, or defense technology programs. Candidates with active security clearances or military backgrounds are encouraged to apply

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.
