Delaware North is hiring an Accounting Intern to join our team at our global headquarters in Buffalo, New York. As an Accounting Intern, you will be a key member of the payroll team, supporting the daily operations.

Are you an energetic undergraduate or graduate student who's seeking an incredible paid internship program? Delaware North internships are paid and can be completed for academic credit. Summer internship dates typically span 10-14 weeks between May - August. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience and make an impact in a global company.

$20.00 - $25.00 / hour

What will you do?

• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare general ledger journal entries
• Prepare responses to audit requests from internal and external auditors
• Field questions from stakeholders within the organization to provide insights and escalate issues to management when necessary
• Ability to apply accounting principles through journal entries and account reconciliations
• Effectively communicate with stakeholders across the business
• Understand payroll laws and regulations impacting the business and employees, including the financial impact
• Ability to prioritize and multitask while producing high-quality work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment

More about you

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
• Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, and working knowledge of accounting principles
• Experience with automation tools, including Alteryx and Excel Macros
• Ability to work hybrid office hours at our office in Buffalo, NY
