Job description

About the Role

As our Gaming Content Creator, you’d create trailers, ads, and short-form content that gets players excited about Deadzone Rogue 2, a new co-op FPS Roguelite for PC and consoles. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role, with a focus on creating fun, gameplay first content. In this role you’d work directly with Adam, our COO, and partner closely with our production, art, design, and engineering teams as we grow the Deadzone Rogue franchise.

About Us

Prophecy Games was spun off from Hi-Rez as a fully independent studio in 2020. Our most recent title, Deadzone: Rogue, has been enjoyed by over 1 million players globally across Steam, Xbox, PS5, and Nintendo Switch 2, with ‘Very positive’ reviews on Steam and a 4.5 star rating on consoles. We’re a 20-person team that includes passionate newcomers and veteran AAA developers with decades of experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Trailers: Capture gameplay and cut trailers for major marketing beats
  • Ad creative: Produce static and video ads with strong hooks and CTAs
  • Short form: Generate social content for Meta, YouTube, Reddit, and TikTok
  • Storepage: Create assets for website, Steam, Xbox, PS5, and Switch 2 pages
  • Copy: Write headlines and descriptions, and prepare creative for localization
  • Iteration: We'll ship variants, analyze metrics, and optimize content together
  • Ad hoc: We’re a small team and all pitch in to help each other out as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience creating gameplay video content - professionally, personally, or freelance
  • Ability to work end to end, from gameplay capture to delivery of final creative asset
  • Comfortable in an editing tool (Premiere, After Effects, CapCut, etc) and design tool
  • Passion for PC gaming, especially for FPS, co-op, or roguelites like Deadzone Rogue
  • Good instincts around hooks, pacing, and video editing to catch players attention
  • Enjoy being a hands-on generalist and working in a small team at a fast pace
  • Comfortable experimenting with content and learning new tools along the way

Nice to Have

  • Have grown a gaming channel or account of your own, at any size or stage
  • Have run or helped run paid social ads on Meta, Reddit, YouTube, or TikTok
  • Experience with motion graphics, sound design, localization, or gameplay capture
  • Played Deadzone Rogue or similar FPS and roguelite games solo or with friends

Benefits & Perks

  • Competitive salary with medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Generous vacation, sick day, holiday, and leave policies
  • Company wide bonus plan based on performance
  • Retirement matching through our 401(k) plan
  • We playtest our games together each day as a team
  • Lunch brought in daily along with wellness plan
  • Self-funded, stable company with a successful title

Important Note for Submissions: Please Provide Work Examples or Portfolio

When applying, please share links or examples of gaming content you’ve created, such as trailers, gameplay clips, ads, social media posts, or other video or design work. Personal projects are also welcome. Email your submission to hr@prophecygames.com. Thank you!

Compensation: $55,000-$65,000 per year depending on experience, plus a company-wide performance-based bonus, 401(k) matching, and full medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Work Location: This role is based in Alpharetta, Georgia. We found that being in office together helps us build stronger relationships, have more fun together, and create better games. Team members can work from home ad-hoc if needed, but generally we’re fully in office.

Relocation: Assistance through a relocation package is available if needed.

Come As You Are: If you’re passionate about this role, but do not meet all of the qualifications, we still encourage you to apply. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Posting: If you are a recruiter or placement agency, please do not submit unsolicited resumes.
