The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager who also has experience of production planning. This is to strengthen our Operations Team and add a key resource to ensure material and schedules are in place to meet the business needs. In this role, you will lead the procurement, planning, expediting and delivery of raw material (components) and Finished Goods. This role requires a candidate to support day-to-day production, and NPI projects to bring new products to market.

Creation and analysis of CTB (Clear To Build) status, identifying risks and mitigation plans is vital. Experience of working with domestic and remote CM partners is essential, along with a working knowledge of 3PL’s / Warehouse partners. You will be required to create reports based on Bills of Materials, assess alternative options for components for Engineering Approval, drive key suppliers such as Arrow, create forecasts and build plans for multiple SKU’s.

This is a role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a good problem solver, developing good relationships, identifying flawed processes and creating solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Leads material procurement, supplier management, production scheduling, and cost modelling.
• Develops and implements tools to ensure costs, lead times, availability, blockages are clearly tracked and reported
• Clear To Build analysis and reporting, working closely with Ops Leaders and Factory partners to ensure day-to-day production is covered, and new product launches are aligned with the Business needs
• Handles all outgoing PO’s from component level to Finished Goods.
• Supports the creation of build plans and inventory projections based on Sales Forecasts
• Creates forecasts for factories and identifies LLT risk and ordering strategies
• Monitors global trends for component availability and cost fluctuations to drive strategic decisions for order planning

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in a business-related subject and 7+ years of previous relevant experience

Must Have

• Experience in working for a company which develops and sells hardware products
• Experience of forecasting and planning multiple SKU’s for short- and long-term planning
• Experience of working with domestic and international factories
• Previous experience of the electronics market and managing suppliers and purchase orders
• A good understanding of Bills of Materials and electro-mechanical products, along with Engineering Change Notes and planning tools
• Familiar with handling customer orders, ASN’s, shipping delays, customs procedures domestically and internationally
• Ideally will have an existing network of contacts at leading suppliers in the electronics Industry
• Ideally a working knowledge of Supply Agreements
• Working knowledge of Freight Carriers and bulk shipments from Factory to 3PL
• Good communication skills
