Job description

FrameShift is a Roblox game studio based in Miami. We started in 2024 with a simple goal: make games on Roblox that are actually worth playing. We're a small team โ€” which means the people we bring in have a real say in what we build and how we build it.

About this role

You'd be writing the systems players actually interact with โ€” tools, progression, combat, whatever the current game needs. We work in Luau on Roblox Studio. You won't always have a perfect spec, so being able to figure things out and make good calls on your own matters.

You Will
  • Build and maintain gameplay systems including progression, tools, combat, and economy
  • Architect clean, reusable Luau modules that hold up as the game scales
  • Work directly with Technical Designers to build features from spec
  • Identify and resolve performance issues related to client-server replication
  • Conduct peer code reviews and maintain engineering standards
You Have
  • Solid Luau experience and time spent in Roblox Studio
  • You understand how client-server works and why it matters for Roblox
  • Comfortable with DataStores, RemoteEvents, and replication
  • Can pick up existing code without needing it all explained
