DETERRENCE ANALYST EXPERT

Requirements:

A minimum of 12 years of experience in, or a demonstrated working knowledge of at least 10 years working in the field in US defense policy, strategy, or plans related to strategic deterrence, Accredited Masterโ€™s degree required.

Doctoral degree preferred in Political Science, International Relations, Economics, STEM or related national security degree highly desirable, Master degree required.

Expert level of knowledge in deterrence theory, deterrence models and deterrence strategy.

Expert knowledge of historical US deterrence strategies, models, their defining characteristics, and successes.

Knowledge of game theory.

Knowledge of strategic military strategy, planning, operations and the nuclear enterprise.

Knowledge of the current strategic threat environment.

Recent publication, within the past 5-10 years in strategic studies, deterrence or related nuclear matters is highly desirable.
