Job description

At Netflix, our mission is to entertain the world. Together, we are writing the next episode - pushing the boundaries of storytelling, global fandom and making the unimaginable a reality. We are a dream team obsessed with the uncomfortable excitement of discovering what happens when you merge creativity, intuition and cutting-edge technology. Come be a part of what's next.
At Netflix, we have an insatiable desire to continually improve our products and deliver new experiences to delight and entertain our quickly growing membership. The Product Manager - Games - Social Platform is a cross-functional leader who will apply their strategic, analytical, and relationship-building expertise to develop and execute our roadmap for bringing our members together to play games via social experiences like online and co-op multiplayer, sharing, chat, and more.
The Product Manager for Games - Social Platform will lead major new product initiatives and materially transform existing product areas with high business impact. You will champion a curated space where players can connect, collaborate, and share, while ensuring a high-quality, trusted environment.
What you will do:
  • Drive near-term roadmaps: Set near-term product roadmaps with some guidance, bringing along senior stakeholders to shape the games social platform strategy for our first and third-party game studio partners.
  • Execute end-to-end projects: Execute with minimal guidance on large, end-to-end projects developing back-end systems and tooling for game partners, breaking things down into achievable milestones.
  • Innovate on social experiences: Apply strong knowledge of industry trends, data, and market dynamics to shape product strategy and identify meaningful innovation opportunities for friends, presence, online multiplayer, sharing, and chat features.
  • Foster collaboration and alignment: Drive alignment with cross-functional stakeholders outside of your squad across Netflix's Games and Product & Technology organizations to create a unified strategy for member-to-member relationships.
  • Drive effective decision-making: Effectively farm for dissent to inform decision-making, drawing out opposing opinions and leveraging context to manage risk assessments for social features in partnership with Trust and Safety, Legal, and Customer Support.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in product management or related business areas, ideally with direct experience working on social products or systems in video games.
  • Proven ability to lead major new product initiatives or materially transform existing product areas with high business impact.
  • Experience translating UX testing and feedback into impactful new features.
  • Demonstrates strength in experimentation methodology, iterative product development, and analysis best practices to enhance the customer experience.
  • Experience articulating project goals, product requirements, and results in clear, compelling, and actionable ways across diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Technical background or strong understanding of technical systems and platforms.
  • Ambitious self-starter who deals well with ambiguity and a fast-paced, multiple-project environment.

The range for this role is $310,000.00 - $545,000.00. This compensation range will vary based on location.
Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
