To thrive at a Game Startup, you need a strong foundation in game design or development, proficiency in relevant programming languages (such as C# or C++), and a portfolio demonstrating completed projects or prototypes. Familiarity with popular game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine, as well as version control systems such as Git, is typically expected. Creativity, adaptability, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit are vital soft skills for succeeding in the fast-paced and often uncertain environment of a startup. What is a game startup?

A game startup is a newly established company focused on creating, developing, and launching video games or gaming technology. These startups are often founded by small teams of developers, designers, and entrepreneurs who are passionate about innovation in the gaming industry. Game startups usually work on original game concepts or unique technologies such as game engines, platforms, or tools. Job description

Company Description

SimFit — a gamified fitness app and future health ecosystem where users train, compete, and stay motivated through real-time workout games and AI personalities. https://simfit.app/

This is a pre-seed stage startup with a working prototype (wearable → gameplay loop), and now I’m looking for a technical cofounder to take this from 0→1 and scale it into a high-engagement consumer product.

What you’d own:

  • Product architecture (mobile + backend)
  • Real-time gameplay + multiplayer systems
  • Wearable integrations (Apple Health, etc.)
  • AI-driven experiences

What you’ll be responsible for beyond code:

  • Shaping product direction and core engagement loops
  • Running fast build–test–iterate cycles to find product-market fit
  • Actively fundraising (investor conversations, technical vision, diligence)
  • Helping define company strategy alongside me

Who I’m looking for:

  • Strong full-stack / mobile and games builder with expertise in AI
  • Has built and shipped real products and/or previous startup founder
  • Thinks in engagement, not just features
  • Excited about digital health, gaming, AI, or consumer apps
  • Wants to build something from the ground up

This is a true cofounder role (equity)
