Job description

Title: Associate or Intern Software Developer

Overview

A professional software engineer position with responsibilities focusing on the development and

implementation of components of a system and the subsequent maintenance of systems. Further, to

create high-quality code to solve complex business problems in a given product, with an overall

business objective of producing high-quality code according to a given product's functional

specifications. A professional who can work with others to create high-quality code and accomplish

team, group, or department goals and objectives.

Your Main Duties:

As a software team member, design, develop, and maintain high-quality code for complex components

in a given product. Additionally, identify, evaluate, and learn new technologies and build applications

using those technologies; collaborate effectively and efficiently with other team members and other

groups within the company to meet the company's goals and objectives. Begin to learn how to

determine or estimate the size, and scope of high-quality maintainable code. Find and resolve bugs in

own code and assist others as appropriate to identify and resolve issues. Implement project

assignments with some independence using agreed-upon methods, technologies, and tools.

This is a professional individual contributor-level position with no supervisory responsibilities;

incumbents may mentor entry and intermediate level Software Engineers and/or provide technical

leadership to a small project team.

Preferred Skills and Experience

Ability to be action-oriented; ability to work with supervision and set priorities; good problem-solving

skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to follow through on implementation

projects; ability to collaborate with others to produce appropriate solutions; debugging skills;

self-prioritization skills. 3+ years' demonstrated development experience; fluency in Java and other

object-oriented programming languages; with the ability to rapidly learn and use new languages as

needed by the team and project.

Education/Degree/Equivalent:

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience.
