Job description

Escape Room Host
About the Role
Are you energetic, personable, and passionate about creating memorable guest experiences? As an Escape Room Host, you will welcome groups, set the stage for their adventure, and guide them through an exciting, immersive escape room experience from start to finish.
You'll be the host behind the scenes and the face of the experience-building excitement before the game, monitoring each group during gameplay, delivering thoughtful hints when needed, and celebrating their success afterward. If you enjoy engaging with people, staying attentive to details, and helping guests have fun under pressure, this is the role for you.
What You'll Do
  • Welcome guests upon arrival and create an upbeat, engaging first impression.
  • Check in groups, confirm reservations, and ensure guests are prepared for their scheduled experience.
  • Clearly explain game rules, safety expectations, and any venue policies before each session.
  • Deliver engaging pre-game introductions that set the tone, story, and objective of the escape room.
  • Monitor escape room games in real time to ensure guests are safe, supported, and fully engaged.
  • Provide timely, helpful clues and hints that keep groups moving forward without taking away from the challenge or fun.
  • Reset rooms quickly and accurately between groups, ensuring all puzzles, props, locks, and game elements are in the correct condition for the next experience.
  • Identify and report room maintenance needs, missing props, technical issues, or guest concerns to leadership promptly.
  • Capture group photos and celebrate guest achievements at the end of each game.
  • Answer guest questions, provide recommendations, and encourage repeat visits, upgrades, concessions, merchandise, or future bookings when appropriate.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and guest-ready environment throughout each shift.
  • Respond calmly, professionally, and promptly to safety concerns, technical issues, or guest-service situations.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to keep games running on time and deliver a seamless guest experience.
What Makes This Role Unique?
No two groups experience an escape room the same way. As an Escape Room Host, you will help bring each adventure to life by reading the room, adapting your communication style, and providing the right level of energy and support for every group.
One group may need enthusiastic encouragement and frequent hints; another may want to solve every puzzle independently. Your ability to balance storytelling, guest service, game operations, and attention to detail will make every visit feel exciting, smooth, and unforgettable.
Who You Are
  • A friendly, engaging host who enjoys making guests feel welcome, comfortable, and excited about their experience.
  • Confident speaking to groups and delivering clear instructions, game briefings, rules, and safety information.
  • Customer-service focused, with the ability to adapt your communication style to guests of different ages, personalities, group sizes, and experience levels.
  • Attentive, observant, and able to monitor multiple details during a live game, including guest progress, safety, timing, game flow, and room conditions.
  • Reliable, organized, and proactive, with the ability to manage game resets, prepare rooms between bookings, and keep experiences running on schedule.
  • A quick learner who is comfortable using game technology, puzzle systems, locks, props, radios, tablets, or other operational tools.
  • Calm and professional under pressure, able to troubleshoot minor technical issues and respond appropriately to guest questions or concerns.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to resetting each room accurately so every group receives the same high-quality experience.
  • Passionate about creating fun, immersive experiences that guests will remember and recommend to others.
Why Join Us?
  • Competitive pay.
  • Full Escape Room Host training provided-no prior escape room, acting, or game-master experience required.
  • A fun, fast-paced, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Opportunities to develop customer-service, facilitation, storytelling, problem-solving, and operational skills.
  • The opportunity to help create memorable celebrations, team-building events, date nights, and group outings for guests every day.
  • A workplace that values creativity, inclusivity, teamwork, and exceptional guest experiences.
Ready to Create Unforgettable Adventures?
Apply today to become an Escape Room Host and help guests laugh, collaborate, solve puzzles, and make memories from the moment they arrive until the final countdown ends.
