What does a game preserve manager do?

A Game Preserve Manager is responsible for overseeing the conservation and management of wildlife and habitats within a designated game preserve or wildlife sanctuary. Their duties include monitoring animal populations, enforcing hunting and fishing regulations, creating habitat improvement plans, and coordinating with conservation organizations. They may also manage staff, conduct educational programs, and ensure compliance with environmental laws to protect both wildlife and the ecosystem.

What are the main challenges a game preserve manager faces in balancing wildlife conservation with visitor engagement?

Game Preserve Managers often face the challenge of protecting wildlife habitats while also creating meaningful experiences for visitors. Balancing conservation efforts—such as habitat restoration and population monitoring—with public access requires careful planning and communication with staff and guests. Managers must implement policies that minimize human impact, coordinate educational programs, and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, all while maintaining visitor satisfaction.
