Position Summary:
This Assistant Director of Marketing for Fan Engagement is responsible for serving as the primary marketing contact for Volleyball, Womens Basketball and Baseball, including planning and executing of marketing plans, game themes and promos. This position manages the on-field production for home football games as well as in-game operations for volleyball and both basketball teams. This position manages a graduate assistant as well as student interns. This position also works with Red Wolves Sports Properties for courtside signage at volleyball and basketball.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary marketing contact for Volleyball, Women's Basketball and Baseball. This includes the planning, implementation and execution of marketing plans, game themes and promos, in-game contests and recognitions for these sports as well as the creation of game scripts.
  • Manage the on-field production during home football games, assuring that all in-game promotions and recognitions take place on schedule in coordination with the Associate AD for Marketing and Fan Engagement and Red Wolves Sports Properties.
  • Direct in-game operations from the scorer's table in Volleyball and Men's and Women's Basketball.
  • Works directly with Red Wolves Sports Properties to assist in the creation and execution of all necessary LED courtside signage for home games inside First National Bank Arena.
  • Manage in-game operations, including coordination of music, PA and in-game hosts, during all home Baseball games.
  • Oversight of the Marketing Graduate Assistant as well as a group of paid and unpaid student interns on gamedays.
  • Collaborate the schedule Public Address announcers for Volleyball and Soccer home matches.
  • Assist the Associate AD for Marketing and Fan Engagement in the organization, planning, scheduling and execution of marketing plans across all sports.
  • Must work all home events in Football, Volleyball, Men's and Women's Basketball and Baseball as well as other sports and events as needed and assigned.
  • Will help play a role in creating engaging and trendy content for the Athletic Department's social media channels.

Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a High School Diploma
Commitment and availability to work a highly irregular schedule, including frequent nights, weekends and holidays dictated by the Arkansas State Athletics schedule.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing preferred
• One to three years of full experience, ideally within a collegiate athletics department or professional sports setting, is preferred.
