Description

Summary of Duties:

Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other team members, customers, and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other team members and organizations. Maintain strict privileged, proprietary, guest, and employer confidentiality during and beyond the term of my employment. Adhere to all work rules, policies & procedures, and safety standards.


Position Purpose:

To provide courteous, accurate, and efficient table games for guests.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior guest service in accordance with department and company standard program. 
  • Accurately and efficiently deal table games to guests. 
  • Encourage a positive gaming atmosphere among guests. 
  • Instruct guests on the rules of the games. 
  • Exchange paper currency for playing chips. 
  • Pay winnings or collect losing bets as established by the rules and procedures for the specific game. 
  • Ensure that all players have placed their bets before play begins. 
  • Communicate any guest complaints to the supervisor. 
  • Respond tactfully to guest complaints. 
  • Inspect cards and equipment periodically to ensure that they are in good condition.
  • Calculate players' winnings or losses. 
  • Comply with Title 31 record keeping policies and procedures. 
  • Become familiar with casino events and promotions to inform guests. 
  • Obtain and maintain gaming license. 
  • Comply with tip reporting procedures. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Education/Qualifications:

  • Requires High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • Previous blackjack dealing experience and / or completion of a formal blackjack training school required. 
  • Must be at least 18.   
  • Requires strong math skills.                                                

Licensing:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License

Work Requirements:

Requires problem solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Position involves prolonged walking, stooping, or bending, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds daily. Work is performed in a casino environment with varying levels of lighting, air quality, noise, and / or temperature.
