Overview
The Coachella Valley Lakers are seeking a fun, outgoing, and enthusiastic in-game host to create an exciting experience for the 24 home games of the 2026-2027 season, running from November 2026 through March 2027, including playoffs. This position provides a great opportunity to interact with our fans while executing a balance of hype and knowledge within the operations of a professional basketball team. The host will assist with in-game promotions, contests, on-court performances, and other activities during each Laker home game. Applications must include a resume with references and a performance reel no longer than three (3) minutes in length. A video reel is required once you are selected. If you are able to provide links within your application, that would be great.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $35.00 - $40.00.

Responsibilities
  • During games, the host will execute all court and in-stands promotions-both sponsored and unsponsored-based on the individual game script and rundown.
  • Attend all meetings related to the game presentation.
  • Communicate in-game & event information to the Game Director.
  • Assist with operational support and/or talent roles across various production mediums, including web, social media, etc., as directed by Management.
  • Interact and engage with fans throughout the game to increase the hype and excitement-ad-libbing and improvising are a must.
  • Present themselves in a professional manner while in public. This includes all social media networks.
  • Refrain from putting themselves or the Coachella Valley Lakers in any negative light while conducting any interviews or social media posts.

Qualifications
  • Hosting experience in the Sports/Game Presentation/Entertainment industry is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of related work experience preferred.
  • Able to demonstrate a strong on-camera presence, highlighting poise, professionalism, likeability, approachability, and ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Basketball.
  • Great communication and listening skills.
  • Creative and innovative personality with the ability to quickly adapt and adjust to in-game situations as they change.
  • Flexible schedule to allow commitment to all Lakers home games necessary during the 2026-2027 season, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, to meet game and/or event needs.
  • Ability to accept and implement feedback into performance.
  • Additional duties and expectations may be added or adjusted as needed to meet league and organizational needs.
