Soccer Shots Boise is looking for a passionate intern to learn about our business and to work with children ages 2 to 8. This is a flexible internship for credit/pay. The ideal candidate would be able to work with us through 2025 in order to experience the different seasons of our business.
The Job:
  • Bring "Soccer Island" alive with your enthusiasm and creativity.
  • Conduct soccer sessions for children 2 to 8, including field set-up and take-down.
  • Familiarize self with operating a small, growing business - Sales, Ops, Coaching.
  • Assist with sales/development initiatives and design/implement marketing plans.
  • Learn to hire/evaluate/train coaches and staff.
  • Help launch our new registration system.
  • Coordinate seasonal prep and execution to our 45+ schools and 5+ parks.
  • Act as representative at events and programs
  • Customer service for families and schools

COMPENSATION:We pay per session when coaching and per hour when performing other administrative tasks. Our school program sessions are 30 minutes long, and our park program sessions are 30 to 40 minutes long. Most school and park locations will have multiple sessions back-to-back. In addition to coaching, the candidate will spend time in the office and visiting prospective clients. The coaching rate starts our at $18/session and the admin rate is $15/hour Candidates can expect 30-40 per week as their schedule permits.
Qualifications:
  • No prior sports/coaching experience is required.
  • Genuine passion for children and sports.
  • Energetic, engaging, and responsible.
  • Safety conscious.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of kids ages 2-8.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to stand, jog, and model children's soccer skills.
  • Coaches must have or obtain state-required clearances.
  • Ideal candidate will be available 30-40 hours per week
