Responsibilities

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined Legal and Product Management Intern to join our dynamic team in the casino gaming technology space. This hybrid position offers hands-on experience in technology intellectual property frameworks and the processes for bringing new products to market. If you're eager to learn about casino gaming business operations, IP protection, and product lifecycle management, this is an excellent opportunity to gain industry experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In this role you will be expected to be a strong contributing member of the team from day one, supported by very strong training and oversight.
  • Support the Intellectual Property (IP) Team with managing IP portfolios, including trademark research, licensing, and development and improvement of internal process.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management Team to support IP coverage of product development initiatives through product roadmap reviews, development meetings, and innovation events.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word to create reports, presentations, and track data to support the company's intellectual property pipeline.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings and help coordinate between legal, product management, and R&D teams to facilitate IP identification and submissions.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Completed coursework in a technical discipline OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • At least a junior or senior standing at an accredited college.
  • Strong interest in intellectual property law, product management, and the casino gaming industry.
  • Ability to self-pace and manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines and excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to deal with confidential company matters.
  • Ability to come into Las Vegas office at least 4 hour per week.
  • Minimum 20 hours per week, up to 40 hours per week.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Trademark databases and search tools.
  • Microsoft SharePoint and/or Power Automate experience.

At IGT, we believe compensation should be as individual as you are, reflecting your skills, experience, background, and location. For this role, the starting compensation is $17/hour, with flexibility to adjust higher or lower based on the full scope of qualifications. We proudly comply with all applicable local pay transparency laws and collective bargaining agreements.
