Job Description
Kavaliro is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to support a client onsite in Orlando, Florida.
Pay: $110,000 to $130,000 annually
Owns multiple technologies or features spanning multiple projects; performs requirements analysis and architects solutions for complex systems
• Provides code reviews on complex systems and drives adherence to code policies, may own coding standards, and proactively teaches best practices to other teams
• Identifies and develops innovative solutions of medium scope that enhance team performance
• Acts as technical leader for large teams or multiple teams; generates and reviews estimates, mentor's other engineers, may serve as Scrum Master, and chooses tools impacting multiple teams
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Game Design, or related field; or equivalent practical experience
Required Skills:
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (including C#), Unity game engine, and SCM tools (Git/Gitlab/PlasticSCM); can quickly self-teach new languages
• 10+ years of software development experience
• Self-directed; troubleshoots all bugs independently and identifies dependencies in large, complex systems
Preferred Skills:
• Ability to read and evaluate technical manuals for complex systems and translate them into high-fidelity 3D training simulations.
• Prepares high-quality documentation; demonstrates matured presentation skills and comfort presenting to senior leadership; may conduct technical interviews
