JOB SUMMARY:

The Smith Entertainment Group Corporate Partnerships Internship offers students a hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of professional sports. We're looking for energetic, forward-thinking individuals who are eager to immerse themselves in the operations, marketing, and strategic planning that power our partnership success.
This internship is ideal for self-starters who take initiative, thrive in collaborative environments, and are hungry to learn. Interns must be able to follow detailed instructions and execute tasks with precision, while also contributing fresh ideas and asking the right questions. The ideal candidate demonstrates extreme attention to detail, a willingness to take on new challenges each day, and the discipline to see projects through from concept to completion - all while maintaining professionalism and clear communication. This includes working closely with internal teams and sponsors to deliver best-in-class experiences that bring value to both our partners and our fans of the Utah Jazz (NBA) & Utah Mammoth (NHL). This internship will likely also require working game nights, during contracted partner events outside of the normal business hour scope of work. This internship is part-time and is expected to run from September 2026 - April 2027.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Report to Director of Operations in all events, sponsors of the night activations, other project management for asset execution
  • Collaborate with Directors and Account Managers on ways to assist them in relationship building opportunities; delivering gifts to clients, etc.
  • Become familiar with Corporate Partnerships technologies and seek new opportunities to report successful storylines internally with the Jazz organization, and externally with Jazz partners.
  • Assist with the execution of game-day partnership assets and sponsor activations.
  • Support the planning and implementation of contracted events and sponsor promotions.
  • Contribute to the creation of high-quality materials including partnership pitch decks, renewal decks, midseason recaps, and annual reports.
  • Aid in internal operational tasks that keep the Corporate Partnerships team running efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the team on ongoing campaign ideation and strategy. Bring fresh marketing perspectives and pitch creative ideas that resonate with evolving fan expectations and sponsor needs.
  • Take initiative daily to try new approaches, explore new tools, and help refine processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
