JOB DESCRIPTION


FANgineers play a vital role in the success of the hospitality program and game days – they help engineer a great experience by providing the highest level of hospitality for our fans in the premium seating areas on game day. FANgineers serve as goodwill ambassadors to donors and their guests while maintaining the operational policies in place for all premium seating areas. FANgineers also serve as a liaison between donors, caterers, maintenance staff, custodial staff, Hospitality Managers, and Athletic Department personnel.


DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES


Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following:

  • Act as game day ambassadors for the Hospitality Office and athletics department.
  • Perform G.O.L.D. Standard Service for all guests, fans, and department staff.
  • Ensure all game day policies and procedures are being upheld.
  • Monitor entrances, review tickets, and be aware of access control protocols.
  • Perform pre-, during-, and post-game duties associated with the premium areas (i.e., fulfilling requests, disposing trash, monitoring facility needs and food & beverage needs, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.

AVAILABILITY and OPPORTUNITIES

  • Must be available to work all home football games at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
  • FANgineers are hourly employees. Hours will range between 6-14 hours per game week depending on the home game schedule and game preparation needs each week.
  • FANgineers are expected to work the entire football game day shift, which typically begins 1 hour before stadium gates open and ends approximately 90 minutes post-game.
  • Opportunities may be available to work the day before games.
  • Along with football home games, gain the opportunity (with a positive supervisor evaluation) to work additional events, such as basketball, baseball, concerts, etc.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events
  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g. event materials)
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach
  • Manual dexterity to handle event materials and technology
  • Ability to work in varied environmental conditions, including outdoor spaces
  • Good visual acuity and attention to detail
