Job description

SUMMARY:
An intern will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•The intern will gain a basic understanding of the railroad industry, including industry structure and some competitive dynamics.
•The intern will also gain an understanding of G&W’s processes, procedures, and systems.

•Assist with monitoring outstanding accounts and reach out on overdue balances.

•Prepare and send statements and followup communications via email and phone.

•Work closely with the finance, billing, and customer service teams.

•Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
•Effective oral and written communication skills
•Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
•Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
•Strong attention to detail
•Ability to interact effectively with all levels and continue to maintain a high level of objectivity and independence
•Self-starter
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:
•Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
•Must have a valid driver’s license
