Are you a natural leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys bringing large-scale events to life? We are seeking an experienced and energetic Game Day Supervisor to oversee premium hospitality, catering operations, and event execution for UNC Football game days.

As a Game Day Supervisor, you will serve as the on-site leader responsible for coordinating staff, managing event logistics, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining operational excellence from setup through breakdown. This position is ideal for hospitality, catering, and event professionals who excel under pressure and enjoy creating memorable experiences for guests.

Position Summary

The Game Day Supervisor acts on behalf of management to oversee all aspects of event operations before, during, and after game day. This role requires strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure successful execution of premium hospitality events at the Football Center and other designated UNC Athletics venues.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Execution

  • Oversee all aspects of game day hospitality and catering operations.
  • Study event requirements and determine the most effective execution plan.
  • Coordinate event logistics, staffing, equipment, timelines, and operational needs.
  • Execute events while maintaining the highest standards of service, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure all events comply with university, local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Manage event setup, service, and breakdown activities.
  • Serve as the primary on-site leadership presence during events.

Staff Leadership & Management

  • Supervise event staff, bartenders, servers, and support personnel.
  • Provide on-site training and coaching as needed.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Resolve staffing challenges and operational issues in real time.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and provide feedback to staff.

Operations & Logistics

  • Coordinate setup, and breakdown of event equipment and supplies.

  • Manage inventory and organization of front-of-house equipment, display ware, service ware, and event materials.

  • Ensure all event spaces are properly prepared and maintained.

  • Assess and communicate additional equipment or special-order needs.

  • Work closely with culinary, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
