Position Summary
The Materials Manager - eGaming / Hardware will support inventory control, planning, reporting, and service levels across eGaming, hardware, equipment, and related components. This person will play a key role in improving companywide inventory visibility and control as Arrow continues transitioning to SAP.
This role will be responsible for helping reduce inventory while improving service, throughput, reporting, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate enjoys digging into data, identifying business problems, improving processes, and building systems that help teams make better decisions.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory levels across eGaming, hardware, equipment, and related product/component categories.
  • Develop and automate reports to track inventory, service levels, demand, transfers, and progress against targets.
  • Support SAP transition efforts by improving inventory control, planning processes, system accuracy, and reporting structure.
  • Analyze inventory levels, usage trends, warehouse balances, and service performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with manufacturing, purchasing, planning, warehouse, and operations teams to improve inventory turns, reduce excess inventory, and prevent out-of-stock issues.
  • Support planning systems and processes, including forecasting, MPS, MRP, and DRP.
  • Review inventory targets and planning parameters to ensure proper stocking levels across warehouses and product lines.
  • Help design and maintain reporting tools that improve coordination between manufacturing, supply, demand, and customer requirements.
  • Create, maintain, and audit system data to improve inventory accuracy and reporting integrity.
  • Train team members on inventory processes, reporting procedures, system changes, and proper data entry.
  • Travel to warehouse or distribution locations as needed to support inventory audits, physical counts, training, and process reviews.

Requirements
  • 4-year degree in engineering, business, supply chain, systems, programming, or a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, distribution, inventory control, materials planning, purchasing, scheduling, or a related environment.
  • Experience in inventory management, materials planning, production planning, supply chain, or a closely related function.
  • Strong ERP experience required; SAP experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with AS/400, Query, PRMS, or other integrated manufacturing systems is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, materials planning, scheduling, forecasting, MPS, MRP, DRP, and inventory turns.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
  • Experience building reports, extracting data, analyzing inventory trends, and improving planning tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must enjoy working with data, solving problems, improving systems, and helping teams make better business decisions.
