Position Summary:

This position is responsible for working with end users to understand their requirements and design and implement decision support assets that meet their needs. Responsible for the implementation of data warehouse infrastructure including ETL programs, views, and table structures. Provides Level III support for business intelligence and decision support tools. Works on project teams for the purpose of creating or modifying existing data reports. Executes approved work requests based on business priorities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

  • Responsible for the validation of all data warehouse feeds by automated or manual procedures
  • Responsible for the design and maintenance of technical documentation including data catalogues, structural diagrams and end user warehouse assets
  • Provides Level III end user support and counseling for business intelligence and decision support tools
  • Documents data, views and reports
  • Works with business and management to provide meaningful, efficient and accurate reports

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promotes Mohegan Sun ideology through a thorough understanding and implementation of its core values and core purposes
  • Must be able to support applications that are running in a 7 X 24 X 365 enterprise environment
  • Maintains accurate time reports for activities according to Mohegan Sun's Information Systems policies
  • Required to carry a cell phone and be on call
  • Adheres to the privacy rules pursuant to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) as applicable to Mohegan Sun
  • Promotes superior customer service
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field
  • Demonstrated knowledge with one or more business intelligence tools (e.g., Snowflake, Informatica, Power BI, Tableau and Cognos)
  • Obtains and maintains at least one or more applicable gaming licenses in multiple jurisdictions as required.

~OR~

  • Associate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field
  • Two years of progressive Information Technology experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge with one or more business intelligence tools (e.g., Snowflake, Informatica, Power BI, Tableau and Cognos)
  • Obtains and maintains at least one or more applicable gaming licenses in multiple jurisdictions

~OR~

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Four years of progressive Information Technology experience
  • Two years of experience documenting requirements and designing end user reports in a business intelligence environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge with one or more business intelligence tools (e.g., Snowflake, Informatica, Power BI, Tableau and Cognos)
  • Obtains and maintains at least one or more applicable gaming licenses in multiple jurisdictions

Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

  • Certifications as required by Mohegan Sun
  • Excellent written and oral communications
  • Knowledge of the software lifecycle
  • Knowledge of an enterprise class ETL tool such as Informatica
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Working knowledge of Snowflake
  • Knowledge of Data modelling (Star Schema)
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and critical thinking skills

Training Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures
  • Appropriate regulations that pertain to Mohegan Sun information systems
  • Mohegan Sun budget planning and analysis process and procedures

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • May require occasional weekend and evening work
