Job Title: Esports Arena & Console Lounge Supervisor Work Study
Location: MCC - Esports Arena / Console Lounge
Department: Esports
Reports to: Esports Head Coach
Semester: Full year (2026-2027)
Number of Openings: 8
Rate of Pay: $10.00 per hour
Summary: The purpose of the MCC Esports Arena & Console Lounge Supervisor is to manage the Esports Arena and/or Console Lounge during "open arena" hours so that esports student-athletes and those enrolled in ESP courses can access the arena for practice and/or coursework. The supervisor plays an important role in security, care, and loss prevention for the equipment housed in the arena and console lounge. Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing entrance into the spaces, ensuring students are using the spaces appropriately, keeping the spaces clean and well maintained, and making sure that all equipment is secured, and rooms are locked to prevent theft/loss. The job candidate will strive to provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere in the esports arena and/or console lounge that will allow students to practice, complete coursework, or ask questions about the MCC Esports athletic and academic programs.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Manage door access to the esports arena and always be available to let those with permission into the arena.
  • Troubleshooting issues that may come up with game onboarding / updating.
  • Maintain the security of the arena and/or console lounge by locking up all equipment, turning off PCs, and checking that entrances/exits to the space are locked at all times.
  • Enforce rules and expectations to maintain the integrity of the space and equipment.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the esports arena and/or console lounge space.
  • Operate the digital point-of-sale system in the console lounge

Abilities:
  • Ability to represent MCC as a professional in both communications and behavior
  • Ability to manage groups of students and report issues to coaching staff
  • Ability to maintain and lock up all arena and console lounge equipment
  • Ability to perform simple tasks like vacuuming and waste removal
  • Ability to operate point-of-sale system
  • Ability to problem solve and respond to situations in a timely fashion

Education and Experience: HS Diploma or equivalent
