PURPOSE 

 

The Business Analyst is responsible for undertaking the methodical investigation, analysis, review and documentation of business functions and processes, the information used and the data on which the information is based. The Business Analyst identifies and defines requirements for the use of technology to improve the Fund’s processes and systems and quantify potential business benefits. This position also has primary responsibility for supporting the Fund’s contract intake process and related improvement initiatives designed to improve efficiency, accuracy, and operational effectiveness. 


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES 


  • Facilitate individual and workgroup discussions to understand and analyze business issues and challenges 
  • Analyze and document business processes, implementing low-code automation solutions where appropriate.
  • Document functional specifications, conversions, upgrades, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflow.
  • Translate business requirements into appropriate technical specifications (using both traditional business requirements documentation and Agile user stories). 
  • Balance technology and business considerations and communicate appropriately with both technology and business experts.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to support the implementation of technology solutions, particularly as it pertains to the contract intake process.
  • Administer contract setup, maintenance, and QA to ensure accurate eligibility system processing.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support operational decision-making.
  • Support the evaluation, recommendation, and adoption of automation and AI-enabled solutions to improve business processes and operational effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS 


Years of Experience and Knowledge 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in a business analyst role required 
  • Demonstrable experience in the following skills: 
    • Facilitation 
    • Interviewing 
    • Negotiation 
    • Written communication 
    • Presentation 
    • Technology Management 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working with business and IT users at all levels, both individually and in groups 
  • Possess an extensive knowledge of technology and business operations across multiple business sectors (preferably with a background in health care) 
  • Experience analyzing and documenting complex business processes and identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Experience with low-code/no-code platforms such as MS Power Platform or similar workflow automation tools.
  • Experience working with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow or similar applications.
  • Experience developing, analyzing, and reporting on performance metrics.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks at any one time while maintaining high quality standards 
  • Evidence of troubleshooting and solving problems in a highly technical customer focused service environment 
  • Experience in multiple project methodologies (waterfall and agile) and tools (JIRA, MS Project, Kanban, etc.) 
  • Self-starter with significant skill in relationship building 


Education, Licenses, and Certifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or Business or related field or equivalent work experience required 


Skills and Abilities 
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
  • Manage competing deadlines and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to facilitate productive discussions among stakeholders with differing priorities.


Salary range for this position: Salary $64,100 to $80,100. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to: relevant experience, qualifications, expertise, certifications, licenses, education or equivalent work experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.

 

Work Schedule (may vary to meet business needs): Monday ~ Friday with potential for fully-remote work-from-home arrangement.
