About the Opportunity 

Client Development Intern

David Zwirner seeks a highly motivated Client Development Intern at its New York gallery. The Client Development Intern will work closely with the Client Development Assistants and support the team in entering information into the database, updating existing records, and assisting the sales team with research projects.

Qualified candidates should be highly personable, organized, motivated, and responsible, with an interest in gaining experience in the daily operations of a contemporary art gallery.

What you'll do: 

  • Enter information into the database, as well as extract information from the database.
  • Update records to maintain the most accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Conduct research through print and digital publications and social media outlets.
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned.

What we would like you to have:

  • Must be comfortable and capable of working with large amounts of data
  • The ability to multitask, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • The ability to exercise diligence and discretion, be extremely organized, and possess a strong sense of time management.
  • An interest in contemporary art and the gallery's program.

The internship runs from approximately September 14th - December 18th, 2026. The hours are 10AM - 6PM, 2 - 3 days a week. To ensure that our interns have a well-rounded and educational experience, we ask for a commitment of 3 months. All interns are paid NYC minimum wage of $17/hour. All candidates must be residents of NY, NJ, or CT. No lodging or commuting expenses will be provided.
