Job description

Summary:
The Compensation & Benefits Analyst assists with the administration of NTTA's leave of absence programs, employee and retiree b e n e fit programs, wo r k e rs' c ompens a tion programs, annual enrollment, w e lln e ss pr o g r a ms, and compensation programs. This position also assists with human r e sourc e s info r mation s y stem administration for the Compensation & Benefits team and do c ument, a nd re c ord support f or the o r g a ni z a tion.
The Compensation & Benefits Analyst will provide guidance, support and solutions to their assigned departments and HR Generalists on a wide variety of benefits, leave and compensation matters.
Starting Rate: $32.74/hourly - $43.07/hourly
Applicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the United States immediately. This position is not available for H1-B visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
  • Serves as the point of contact for the administration of leaves including FMLA, Workers Compensation, Military Leave, Short- and Long-Term Disability, ADA, HIPAA privacy laws and company attendance guidelines and/or policies for assigned departments.
  • Partners with the Compensation & Benefits Manager and the Sr. Compensation & Benefits Analyst in the administration of annual enrollment.
  • Administers compensation functions, such as new hire salary justifications, internal movements (promotion, demotion, lateral transfers), developing and analyzing job descriptions, and internal equity for assigned departments.
  • Analyzes and develops job descriptions for positions in their assigned department. Regularly reviews and updates job descriptions to ensure the descriptions accurately reflect the work performed by incumbents.
  • Partners with the Compensation & Benefits Manager and Sr. Compensation & Benefits Analyst to or g a ni z e , e v a lua t e , a nd c oordin a te c om p e ns a tion studies, and participates in c o m p e ns a tion surv e y s.
  • Partners with the Compensation & Benefits Manager and Sr. Compensation & Benefits Analyst to evaluate current benefits/processes, industry trends and legislative requirements, and present recommendations for changes or enhancements to management.
  • Works with the Compensation & Benefits team to coordinate annual enrollment, a nnu a l b e n e fits and w e lln e ss ev e nts, benefit vendor on-site visits, and wellness program initiatives.
  • Partners with the Sr. Compensation & Benefits Analyst to assist with the administration of b e n e fit p lans b y r e c on c ili n g p a y r oll d e du c tions/ e mpl o y e r c ontribut i ons, p r o ce ssi n g p a y m e nts to vendo r s, r e spondi n g to g e n e r a l q u e stions, and diss e min a ting info r mation.
  • Assists with benefits inquiries by meeting with employees to answer questions and assists with benefit plan issues by collaborating with providers and third-party administrators to provide timely customer service.
  • Advises employees regarding eligibility and coverage provisions for medical, dental, vision, group life, disability, and retirement plans. Delivers new hire orientation and other related areas of employee/supervisor training.
  • Working in collaboration with the HRIS Manager, coordinates HRIS activities by coordinating set ups and interface processes relating to the organization's human resources information systems, troubleshooting interface errors, and system testing.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects across the Compensation & Benefits function as assigned.
Qualifications:
M inimum:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3-5 years' directly related experience administering leave of absence programs.
  • 3-5 years' directly related experience administering employee benefit programs.
  • 3-5 years' directly related experience with basic compensation administration.
  • Direct experience with and knowledge of FMLA, Workers Compensation, Disability and other leave and benefits programs, policies and applicable laws.
  • Intermediate experience and knowledge of MS Office, Outlook and Excel.
  • Experience administering employee benefits and leave benefits in an HRIS System.
