Job description

Role Responsibilities:
  • Develop improved molecular electrocatalysts to improve the power, efficiency, and energy density of Voyaโ€™s metal-air fuel cells.

  • Identify structure-property relationships, determine mechanism of action and failure, and translate into improved catalyst designs.

  • Work with external vendors to source novel ligands and complexes for both screening and scale-up. Scope custom syntheses, evaluate feasibility and cost.

  • Work with Voyaโ€™s product development team to scale and demonstrate your technology from lab to pilot and production-intent systems.

Qualifications:
  • Track record of design and synthesis of molecular functional materials. E.g. coordination complexes, organic redox-active compounds, molecular catalysts, dyes/chromophores, soluble sensors, or flow-battery active materials.

  • Experience with electrochemical systems (e.g. fuel cells, flow batteries, electrolyzers) preferred but not required.

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, start-up environment

  • Results-oriented with a strong sense urgency
