The Corporate Sales & Structuring group is a team within Trading Products Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities (FICC) responsible for originating and executing hedging and financing transactions for BMO's corporate and commercial clients. Working closely with investment, corporate and commercial banking, the team serves as product experts with a coverage universe including foreign exchange, interest rate and equity derivatives, structured finance, equity linked securities and commodities.

JOB PURPOSE:

Reporting directly to the Director & Head, Canadian Commercial FX Sales, this position is a client facing role, responsible for quoting, executing and designing/presenting foreign exchange risk management solution transactions for mid/large-sized commercial entities across Canada. The candidate contributes to the overall profitability of the Foreign Exchange Group through the maintenance of strong relationships with commercial clients, internal partners and by ensuring proactive engagement within the client segment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS:

1) Commercial Client FX Sales.

  • Provide pricing of foreign exchange currencies to Bank of Montreal commercial client segment

  • Quote & execute spot, forward, swap & options trades.

  • Proactively engage commercial banking clients with FX trade ideas & risk management solutions.

  • Utilize data analysis skillset & internal relationships to identify new client opportunities.

  • Provide demos of Online Banking for Business (OLBB) to clients and troubleshoot issues

  • Assist with onboarding & regulatory requirements for new clients

  • Research and analyze financial market data; summarize data for recent trends and market developments

2) Systems and Information Management

  • Utilize Bloomberg & internal currency pricing tools & systems.

  • Assist mid-market group with electronic systems

  • Use appropriate systems to accurately price FX products & monitor credit exposures.

  • Incorporate AI tools to improve efficiencies.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Knowledge

  • An undergraduate degree with outstanding academic achievement

  • Specific academic coursework in finance, economics, math, engineering or accounting

  • Strong understanding of, and keen interest in, the operation of the financial markets

  • Relevant experience within financial markets in a client facing role is preferred

  • Familiarity with basic derivatives including options and swaps

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members, other groups, and clients. Need to be personable, confident, credible.

  • Highly developed professional written and oral communication skills with a proactive mindset

OBJECTIF DU POSTE

Relevant directement du directeur general et chef, Ventes, Operations de change, Services bancaires aux grandes entreprises au Canada, le titulaire de ce poste est en contact direct avec les clients et est responsable de la soumission, de l'execution et de la presentation des transactions relatives aux solutions de gestion du risque de change pour les moyennes et grandes entreprises a l'echelle du Canada. Le candidat contribue a la rentabilite globale de l'equipe Operations de change en entretenant de solides relations avec les entreprises clientes et les partenaires internes et en assurant une mobilisation proactive au sein du segment de clientele.

PRINCIPAUX DOMAINES DE RESPONSABILITE

1) Ventes liees aux operations de change aupres des entreprises clientes.

  • Communiquer la tarification des devises au segment des entreprises clientes de la Banque de Montreal.

  • Proposer et executer des operations au comptant, des operations a livraison differee, des swaps et des operations sur options.

  • Mobiliser de facon proactive les clients des Services bancaires aux grandes entreprises au moyen d'idees d'operations de change et de solutions de gestion des risques.

  • Utiliser ses competences en analyse des donnees et ses relations internes pour reperer de nouvelles occasions pour les clients.

  • Faire des demonstrations des Services bancaires en ligne pour entreprises(SBLE) aux clients et resoudre les problemes.

  • Apporter son aide a l'egard des exigences d'integration et reglementaires applicables aux nouveaux clients.

  • Rechercher et analyser des donnees sur les marches financiers. Resumer les donnees relatives aux tendances recentes et a l'evolution des marches.

2) Gestion des systemes et de l'information

  • Utiliser les outils de Bloomberg ainsi que les outils et systemes internes d'etablissement des cours de change.

  • Aider les moyennes entreprises avec les systemes electroniques.

  • Utiliser les systemes appropries pour etablir la tarification exacte des produits de change et surveiller le risque de credit.

  • Integrer des outils d'IA pour ameliorer l'efficience.


CONNAISSANCES ET COMPETENCES

Connaissances

  • Diplome de premiercycle demontrant des resultats scolaires exceptionnels.

  • Cursus universitaire en finance, en economie, en mathematiques, en ingenierie ou en comptabilite.

  • Solide comprehension du fonctionnement des marches financiers et vif interet pour ce dernier.

  • Experience pertinente au sein des marches financiers dans un poste en contact avec la clientele est souhaitable.

  • Connaissance des produits derives de base, y compris les options et les swaps.
