Job description

Overview

This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

First Citizen’s Bank Foreign Exchange business supports the transactional and risk management needs of our fast-growing clients as they expand and do business internationally.

Located in NYC and reporting to the Director of FX Sales, this role is a high-impact role and integral part of FX Sales, using data analytics to drive the formulation, execution and evolution of new strategic client engagement initiatives. The role is focused on proactively identifying and pursuing new FX growth driving opportunities within the bank’s client base.
You will take part in analytical client facing growth initiatives to drive revenue and increase client engagement. You will be a fast learner who will leverage analytics and sales technology to drive new opportunity identification, pipeline building, client engagement and revenue optimization.

This role would be a great fit for a creative, curious, personable and energetic individual and offers the right candidate the opportunity to hone their FX markets knowledge while creating significant business value by continuously improving sales and business intelligence/reporting/portfolio management, processes, procedures, and workflow. Responsibilities

Data-led Business Development and Client Engagement:


• Lead Revenue-Driving FX Client Engagement Initiatives: Deliver data-led strategic client engagement initiatives to drive revenue and exceed sales targets
• Drive a culture of proactive business development within the team, setting ambitious targets for client engagement and new business acquisition
• Consistently seek out and pursue new business opportunities, leveraging market intelligence and industry trends to identify potential clients & opportunities
• Perform Strategic Revenue Driving Analysis: Analyze client activity and identify trends and opportunities to prioritize new business leads and engagement opportunities.
• Establish strong relationships horizontally across FX team and with cross-functional partners: Collaborate closely within the FX Team and Cross-Functionally to develop solutions that address client needs
• Conduct client meetings and attend industry events to expand the client network
• Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner
• Set and exceed challenging sales targets, fostering a results-driven environment within the team
• Encourage and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team to enhance overall sales effectiveness and client service


Market Awareness & Deal Execution:


• Take client orders and partner effectively with the FX trading team to manage market risk within the internal system of record, as required
• Follow financial markets to deliver on client needs: navigate financial markets to drive client awareness of key market themes/drivers


Strategy Development:


• Client-Centric Sales Strategy and Prioritization: Collaborate with FX Sales senior leadership to develop and execute on the FX Sales strategy by using data and analytics
• Enable Strategic and data-led FX Sales decision marking: A key contributor within FX sales team by leveraging analytics to influence senior leadership decision making, drive pipeline building, deeper client engagement and new opportunity identification/qualification into our target growth markets
• Drive evolution of our sales analytics/data framework: support product/platform continuous enhancement for clients
• Develop management reporting: Develop, maintain and evolve management reporting tools and dashboards for senior leadership


Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in financial, statistical, or quantitative analysis  OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in financial, statistical, or quantitative analysis.

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
• Strong understanding of FX products, pricing and risk management
• Effective, concise and personable communication skills, both verbal and written, to support client and internal stakeholder engagement
• Aptitude for answering business questions with analytics and translating to actionable revenue driving opportunities
• Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience using and developing reports, metrics, and dashboards with data analytics, data visualization, programming and presentation tools including Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, Tableau
• Strong presentation and relationship building skills with an ability to interface with clients and senior leadership
• Ability to extract, analyze and correlate data from SQL databases
• Proficiency in building analytical insights in Tableau, PowerBI or similar dashboard software
• Statistical analysis and data visualization capabilities
• Creative, strategic thinker with deep intellectual curiosity
• Ability to execute with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Self-starter with an emphasis on organization skills and an ability to multi-task

If hired in NY, the base pay for this position is generally between $163,000 and $217,000.00. If hired in NC, the base pay for this position is generally between $136,200.00 and $181,600.00 Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
