Job description

Section 1: Position Summary

The primary responsibilities for this position include overall sales activities, booking travel for face to face client sales meetings, and coordinating with the Regional Sales Representatives within assigned region. This position will implement and achieve the strategies & goals set forth by the VP of Business Development. This position will build, develop and maintain a client base for the Community Banks and Credit Unions within the assigned region. This position will prospect each sales pipeline for the correlating internal sales team members and focus on key relationships within those specific accounts. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in calling on senior management and key decision makers in community banks and credit unions.

Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.
  • Our I-Client service philosophy and our Core Values of People Matter, Quality First and Integrity Always should be visible in your actions on a day to day basis showing your support of our organizational culture.
  • Sales focus will be RP&S product suite. Consistently meet or exceed sales goals by cultivating and nurturing client base.
  • Actively involved in working with assigned RPS markets and the revenue and non revenue accounts in the region through in-person presentations and telephone solicitations.
  • Function as the primary sales leader and tactical planner for the regional team. This includes adapting the strategies set forth by Sales management to the specific region, working closely with Sales management on evaluating sales and marketing needs for the assigned region.
  • Follow through on incoming sales leads, service and product delivery, again in coordination with assigned Regional Sales Representatives.
  • Develop regional sales plan and lead regional sales team members within assigned region.
  • Provide mentoring and basic supervisory functions for assigned sales team including assisting Sales management with associate performance reviews, coaching, mentoring and development.
  • Work with other Sales team members and Ascensus Associates to efficiently and effectively sell RPS Ascensus products & services.
  • Coordinate with Sales management with general staff coverage and time off scheduling.
  • Have a continued awareness of all markets
  • Pursue information about competition and utilize in the sales process
  • Assist other sales staff within -other regions when necessary.
  • Requires 50%-60% travel.
  • Meet minimum client and prospect contact activity targets.
  • Read and evaluate market information to include annual reports, news articles, market publications, etc.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent sales experience
  • 2-4 years of outside sales experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Must possess excellent presentation and closing skills.
  • Computer experience in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service.
  • Be goal driven and career minded.
  • Team player with a strong commitment to Client Service and Client Advocacy
  • Ability to work well under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Able to make dependable judgments concerning issues which, if mishandled, have the potential to create substantial financial and client relations liabilities for the company

The national average salary range for this role is $70K-110k in base pay, exclusive of any bonuses and benefits.This base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salary offered will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, performance, and internal pay alignment. We do not anticipate that candidates hired will begin at the top of the range however, from time to time, it may occur on a case-by-case basis.
