Job Summary:
LEMIT - Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas is focused on developing innovative educational tools for farmers. They are seeking a Research Assistant to work on a project funded by the USDA that involves creating an AI-driven Large Language Model and a mobile application.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Developing an AI-driven Large Language Model (LLM) and a mobile application to educate farmers.
โ€ข Assisting farmers in learning and identifying harmful insects, providing mitigation strategies, and promoting sustainable pest management practices.
โ€ข Translating scientific knowledge into practical, farmer-friendly educational content.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Some knowledge in natural language processing (NLP)
โ€ข Machine learning experience
โ€ข Python programming skills
โ€ข Experience in data curation
โ€ข Ability to translate scientific knowledge into practical, farmer-friendly educational content
โ€ข Background in programming skills, Python is a must
โ€ข Submit one page explaining previous work in programming
