Job description

The role of the Customer Loadout Associate is to safely and efficiently load and unload merchandise from customers and provide excellent customer service while doing so. The Customer Loadout Associate will drive sales profitably by being part of the supply chain efforts in delivering what our customers want and when they want it. Making you eligible for the best distribution/warehouse earning package in the area.

Customer Loadout Associates start at $17.50-$20.70/Hr with $1/Hr Afternoon Premium and $2/Hr Weekend Premium added on to your base pay rate.

We pay every Friday.

70 hours of sick pay annually

40-80 hours of vacation annually

2 personal days each year

Job Requirements

  • Ability to safely operate a company-approved safety knife.  
  • Able to adhere to the AFW asset protection policies and identify and prevent fraud.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to perform the correct lifting/team lifting techniques.
  • Ability to operate and use a hand truck. 
  • Ability to maintain a clean and professional appearance.
  • Ability to manually manipulate furniture and merchandise to and from trucks, racking, containers, forklifts, and vehicles.

Job Expectations:

  • Commitment to AFW's safety policies and procedures and ability to promote awareness.
  • Able to greet customers promptly and professionally.
  • Wrap, load, and secure merchandise into the customer's vehicle without damaging the merchandise or the vehicle.
  • Able to confirm that customer receives correct merchandise.
  • Able to inspect AFW rental vehicles and fill out the appropriate paperwork.
  • Uncrate and re-create merchandise for inspection when requested.
  • Able to work a radio frequency (RF) scanner.
  • Identifying and reading reports, tickets, and UPC labels.  
  • Able to safely and efficiently remove sold merchandise from the show floor and prepare for load out.
  • Ability to assist other departments when business permits.
  • Initiative to work in a physically demanding, fast pace environment for an extended period of time.
  • Able to have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
  • Able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • All training provided by AFW.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas.
  • Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily.
  • Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
  • Requires lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 100 lbs. frequently and ability to handle/manipulate up to 250 lbs. frequently.
  • The Customer Loadout position requires lifting, griping, bending, kneeling, stooping, and moving merchandise 8 hours or more daily.
