Job description

The possition will work in the field leading a team of skilled individuals that performs demolition, installation, and reconfiguration of system furniture, wood casegoods, to include but not limited to technical workbenches, healthcare furniture classroom furniture, and warehouse storage racks. Will support the FBI in the following areas, to include but not limited to:

  • Provides the leadership, oversight, and overall responsibility for the timeliness, completeness, and quality of multiple furniture repair, maintenance, and renovation projects.
  • As required, provide on-site furniture product oversight during mobilization, site preparation, construction, fit-out, commissioning and occupancy.
  • Perform repair, maintenance, installation, and disassembly of systems furniture and casegood furniture (Unicor, Teknion, Kimball, Steelcase) product to include properly inventory, palettizing, and sorting furniture parts and components for warehouse storage and retrieval.
  • Clean furniture and furniture fabric for product(s) prior to and/or after installation.
  • Provides support in the planning, project completion, client satisfaction of assigned furniture outcome associated with construction projects.
  • Interfaces with construction project managers, IT cable installers, facilities trades, and agency clients to define furniture project requirements.
  • Provide timely suggestions and propose solutions to government project manager on certain projects.
  • Reviews schedule and aligns project work plan and deadlines with requirements.
  • Able to manage the furniture reconfiguration of a large multi-faceted project.
  • Develops executable plans related to furniture program to support the corporate objectives.
  • Using computer software, including databases, to coordinate and track inventory and assigned task.
  • Coordinates, oversees and/or manages repair and maintenance work assignments performed by installers and technicians.
  • Assist the client with oversight and overall management of their assigned furniture projects.
  • Coordinate and assist in ensuring the agency?s furniture requirements for renovations of existing FBI spaces are met within code and on schedule.
  • Provide management, tracking and oversight of delivery and installation of furniture from existing government inventory for all FBI facilities.
  • Assist the Furniture Program Manager in eliciting, evaluating, integrating, and coordinating information between the requestors and the program.
  • Assist in the review of proposed designs and layouts for suitability and to identify potential issues. ? Establish, coordinate, and maintain the project schedule with contractor?s off-site Project Manager
