Job Overview
Perform minor repairs, replacements, and modifications to various types of office furniture to include, but not limited to installing, removing, and replacing: Keyboard trays, Work surfaces, Cabinets, Shelves, Panels, Electrical components. Assist in completion of daily inventory of furniture received from the warehouse for future installations. Evaluate all furniture received for any damages and confirm all parts are included. Complete inventory control documents as needed. Assists and directs other Tiger Team members or sub-contractors in the demolition, assembly, and installation of systems furniture, executive furniture, as well as specialty furniture.
Pay Rate: $47.27hr
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
  • Uses a variety of hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments.
  • Respond to emergency site maintenance as required.
  • Able to inspect and diagnose problems to determine corrective repairs.
  • Perform on call and preventive maintenance duties as necessary.
  • Supports and assists other department staff and trade groups as needed or directed.
  • Adheres to the established Chugach safety, personnel policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Mandatory:
  • High school graduate or equivalent GED.
  • Requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
  • Familiarity with basic mathematical functions is required.
  • Ability to work a schedule of 8 days on and 6 days off.
  • Good working knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Mature judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to pass a pre-hire background and drug screen.
  • S. Citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required intelligence community level clearance.
  • Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and team lift 75 pounds.

Preferred:
  • Trade certifications in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and/or carpentry.
  • Competency in Excel, Word and Outlook.

Working Conditions:
  • Travel up to 20%
