Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Furniture Installation Supervisor for a commercial furniture installation company in Houston, TX. In this role, you will lead furniture installation crews at commercial job sites, offices, warehouses, and other commercial buildings, overseeing assembly, layout, and the quality of completed work. This is a hands-on field supervisor role with consistent project work across the Houston area.

Responsibilities
  • Assign daily tasks to furniture installation crews and coordinate work schedules across active job sites.
  • Read and interpret floor plans, layout drawings, and installation guides to direct crew placement and assembly.
  • Inspect completed installations for level, alignment, and secure fastening before sign-off.
  • Communicate job progress, issues, and updates to project managers and clients.
  • Resolve on-site problems such as missing parts, damaged components, or layout conflicts.
  • Enforce job site safety rules and ensure crew use of required PPE.

Minimum Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial furniture installation (offices, cubicles, modular systems, or similar).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience installing modular office systems, cubicles, desks, seating, or panel systems on large-scale commercial projects.
  • Comfortable operating a forklift or pallet jack for loading and unloading furniture.
  • Proficient with power tools including impact drivers, power drills, and saws.
  • Familiarity with scheduling or project tracking software such as Microsoft Excel, Procore, or similar platforms.
  • Background in warehouse operations, delivery, or construction-related work.
  • Basic familiarity with digital or printed CAD floor plans.
  • Prior experience supervising or leading an installation crew.
  • Ability to read and follow floor plans, layout drawings, or installation guides.
