Job description

Job Purpose
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for handling and organizing warehouse inventory, processing incoming and outgoing shipments, and ensuring orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately. This role requires frequent lifting and moving of heavy items, including furniture, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and organize incoming shipments.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or shipment.
  • Safely lift, move, and stage items (regularly 50–80 lbs; occasionally up to 150 lbs with assistance).
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided if needed).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Assist with inventory counts and general warehouse upkeep.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers when needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1–2 years of warehouse, moving, or furniture-handling experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions.
  • Comfortable working in varying warehouse conditions (heat/cold, noise).
  • Forklift and RF scanner experience a plus (certification/training provided if not certified).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy items throughout the shift.
