THE JOB:
The Associate Creative Director, Lifestyle Resorts is the creative steward for MGM Resorts' lifestyle and experience-diversified property brands, including MGM Grand, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, New York-New York, and regional properties such as MGM National Harbor and Borgata. The role oversees all creative development and production for these brands, including overall brand stewardship, brand design, brand-aligned copywriting, and baseline brand content across the full marketing funnel, ensuring each property expresses a distinctive, ownable identity while supporting the broader MGM resort product vision.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
  • Brand & Creative Stewardship: Steward the brand identity, voice, and visual expression for assigned portfolios, master brands, or strategic initiatives, which may include luxury resorts, lifestyle properties, entertainment and sports partnerships, master brand loyalty programs, or specialized content initiatives
  • Creative Development & Oversight: Lead or support the day-to-day conceptualization, development, and execution of campaigns, content, identity systems, activations, or signature brand moments, ensuring quality and brand integrity at the speed the business demands
  • Hands-On Creative Contribution: Deliver original concepts, art direction, design, content, and/or copywriting as needed to support complex, high-profile, or escalated creative projects across various formats
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders-which could include Property Presidents, Marketing Leads, Entertainment, F&B, Brand Partnerships, Strategy, or venue operators-to translate business strategies, audience segmentation, and guest experiences into integrated creative solutions
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, coach, and develop direct reports, or guide and mentor matrixed designers, copywriters, external creative agencies, and production partners as assigned, ensuring creative consistency and excellence
  • Full-Funnel & Experience Design: Oversee or contribute to creative programming across the full marketing funnel, which may involve designing end-to-end consumer journeys across pre-event, in-event, and post-event touchpoints
  • Emerging Capabilities & Technology: Evaluate, prototype, and/or integrate emerging tools, models, and platforms (such as generative AI) into creative workflows as appropriate, with necessary quality and compliance controls

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • This role requires a bachelor's degree in design, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Fine Arts, Brand Management, or a related field, alongside at least 7 years of progressive creative, art direction, or content experience in an agency, in-house, or content-led environment.
  • Candidates must present a professional portfolio demonstrating large-scale creative capabilities in campaigns, identity, content, or experiential activations.
  • The position demands a proven track record of managing direct reports, mentoring matrixed creative teams, or guiding external agencies. Additionally, applicants must possess excellent communication and presentation skills for collaborating with senior leadership, and show high proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and modern collaboration tools.
