JOB DESCRIPTION: Event Center Attendant
Classification: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Event Center Manager

Summary/Objective
The position of the On-call Event Center Attendant is established to assist families and funeral directors for scheduled receptions at our event center.
Primary Duties:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The following duties are an overview of the primary duties and responsibilities of the on call Event Center Attendant and should not be considered an all-inclusive list.
Customer Service: The Spring Grove Family
  • Communication both verbal and written
  • Interface with customers in-person
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds, stand and squat
  • Ability to vacuum and handle chemicals for cleaning of multiple areas
On-call Event Center Attendant – Spring Grove Funeral Homes
  • Accepts the food and sets-up the table displays
  • Assists the funeral directors with displaying memorabilia, flowers, etc. in the room if needed
  • Greets and assists the family and guests into the Event Space (creating a positive first amp; last impression)
  • Attentive to the family’s needs during the reception to assist with food replenishing or any requests the family may have
  • Assists with special setup (room configuration, seating, moving tables, setting up chairs (stacking and unstacking) etc.)
  • Perform continued cleaning of the event space (dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, etc.), including bathrooms and kitchen, replace table linens as needed before and after each event
  • Notifies the Event Center Manager of any supplies that may need to be replenished
Work Environment
This position operates in a fast-paced event center environment. This role routinely uses vacuums, and various cleaning supplies.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms. Required to lift up to 30 pounds.

This is an on-call part-time non-exempt position. Business days and hours of work are:
Monday thru Sunday
Hours: Flexible
Travel
Local travel maybe required.
