Position Summary:
The funding team plays a crucial role in the daily cashflow of the company by submitting financial milestones to lending partners. The Funding Specialist is a high performer who focuses on the most complicated of these financial milestone processes, supporting Funding leadership by staying up to date with evolving lender requirements and pipeline health. Individuals applying for this role must have high attention to detail and be resilient when faced with challenges and setbacks.
Essential Duties:
  • Become a subject-matter expert in the financial milestone approval process for one or more of SunPower's lending partners
  • Take ownership of weekly financial milestone submissions and pass rate for specialized populations
  • Write and update standard operating procedures
  • Train Funding Coordinators to assist with milestone submissions
  • Assist with other Funding Coordinator responsibilities as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Previous residential solar funding service experience preferred
  • High degree of ownership and accountability
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Regular periods of sitting or standing may be required by this position. In addition, this position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
