Senior Accountant - Irvine, CA


Colony is seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for accounting and reporting for the General Partner investment entities. This person will have exposure to GP level and Fund level investment accounting in opportunity funds, core funds, hedge funds and some exposure to partnership taxation issues. The diversity of accounting issues encountered in this position provides for a unique experience.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Administer, reconcile, and record investment and equity activity

Prepare monthly departmental report, quarterly partner statement of investments, and annual financial statements

Create and manage various accounting and financial models in Excel

Read and comprehend various agreements

Assist with partnership/partner reporting and requests

Assist with special analyses and projects

Qualifications:


Must have attained senior accountant level, or equivalent, at a public accounting firm - Big Four and CPAs preferred

Proficient in Excel

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Self-motivated and display initiative
