Job Description


The Shuttle Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day shuttle service operations of GCT Chauffeured Services. This role ensures shuttle routes operate safely, on time, and in full compliance with all regulatory standards, while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction through operational excellence, leadership, and accountability. All duties are performed in accordance with company policies, practices, and procedures.


Responsibilities


  • Plan, coordinate, and manage daily shuttle routes, schedules, and driver assignments to ensure consistent on-time performance and service reliability
  • Oversee real-time shuttle operations using TripShot and other fleet management systems, making adjustments as needed to maintain service levels
  • Ensure proper driver coverage for all shuttle routes, including backup planning for callouts, delays, and service disruptions
  • Oversee pre-trip and post-trip inspections for all shuttle vehicles to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure fleet readiness, minimize downtime, and maximize vehicle availability
  • Maintain accurate records across fleet and scheduling systems to ensure data integrity and operational consistency
  • Maintain full knowledge of shuttle contracts, service level agreements, route specifications, and client requirements
  • Train, coach, and develop shuttle drivers and shift leads while supporting driver duties as needed
  • Serve as Manager On Call a minimum of 5 days per month
  • Fill driver roles and operational responsibilities as needed to support service coverage
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, affiliates, and internal teams regarding shuttle operations
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for service issues, including missed wake-up calls and route disruptions
  • Provide timely operational updates to leadership, dispatch, and cross-functional teams
  • Support a high level of customer service by ensuring a consistent, professional, and courteous passenger experience
  • Monitor passenger feedback and implement service improvements aligned with GCT service standards
  • Ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations, including driver qualification files, hours of service (HOS), IFTA, and tire mileage tracking
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance documentation for all shuttle operations
  • Coordinate with the Driver & Safety Program Manager to maintain safety standards using Motive and Samba Safety systems
  • Uphold company values of professionalism, accuracy, accountability, and a safety-first culture


Qualifications


  • Ability to manage competing priorities with adequate stress tolerance in a fast-paced, 24/7 shuttle environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Decision-making and solution identification abilities required.
  • Advanced computer skills; proficiency in English required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of related transportation or shuttle management experience.
  • CDL preferred; must be willing to obtain within 90 days of hire if required.
